Continuamos la serie "Historia del puente en España", con el correspondiente a la provincia romana Cartaginense. Volvemos a señalar que este artículo, unido a los ya publicados en números anteriores, y por lo menos otro más dedicado al puente de Alcántara en Toledo, formarán en su día, los capítulos de una edición de gran interés. Para la construcción española el puente es una pieza primordial dentro de su historia que, estudiada bajo un punto de vista de unidad y síntesis entre lo artístico y lo técnico, comporta una valoración completa que el profesor ingeniero Carlos Fernández Casado ha tenido la voluntad de estudiar dedicando una gran parte de su intensa y fecunda vida profesional.
