This library is organised along two levels. The lower one includes the ordinary reading rooms and zones for special books, for cultural activities by groups of readers, and ancillary services. The top floor has office space, administrative department, rooms for special activities, and other general facilities. The constructional feature of this building is the reinforced concrete structure, consisting of two mushroom pillars, of exceptional functional efficiency and beauty, which support the top flooring. This library is a fine design by the famous architect Marcel Breuer.
