Technical journals. 40 years of a publication

This article is an analysis of the course of the journal "Informes de la Construction" - "Building Reports" - over the wide panorama of its forty years since its appearance in 1948 to today. The author, who owns a complete collection of the journal, shows himself to have been an assiduous reader, allowing him to give an exhaustive view comparing it with corresponding publications of other countries, and to draw pertinent conclusions from his study. Finally, he makes a number of suggestions which will be most useful for the future of the journal.
