This article sets forth the content and objectives of the Plan for transnational development of the assistance infrastructure to innovation and the transfer of technology in Europe —the SPRINT Program— conceived and promoted by the Council of Ministers of the European Economic Community. The authors deal with technology transfer as a complex process expressed through innovation, and with the importance of the acquisition and transnational cession of technology by companies. Furthermore, contracts signed between the EEC and European technical centers, among these the lETcc, are listed, and the content and mechanism of the "European Diagnostic-Innovation" document is explained. Given our recent entry into the European Common Market, this proves valuable technological and commercial aid for those who desire to launch a new product or constructive process.
