The strengthening of structural elements of reinforced concrete submitted to bending, by means of sticking with an epoxy-adhesive of the precise structure in shape of, steel bands is a more and more used system. But, however, in many cases the strengthening to not runs properly or is no more effective after awhile due to a bad knowledge of its technig, causing the structure to sink. In this report the author resumes part of the work carried out by the Eduardo Torroja Institute from the Higher Scientific Research Council, and studies the different parameters that could influence on the efficacity of this kind of strengthening.
