Abstract

This structure consists of two separate bodies, one of which is occupied by the garage with a small adjoining work shop and the other one by the actual housing. These two parts are connected by a corridor, whereby the existing difference of elevation is overcome. The entrance leads into a small hall which connects with the main section and the attic by means of two staircases. This main section holds a bedroom, one big living-cum-dining room, which also comprises the kitchen. The most noteworthy characteristics of the building are the irregular plan form, due to the difference of the elevation of the ground, and moreover the great glass surfaces of the facades, which, in addition to allowing for required sunlight, illumination and views further an integration of the interior with the exterior, to which also contributes the use of simple building materials in the construction.
