The main characteristic of this swimming pool which provides for 4,000 to 5,000 swimmers daily, is its natural location in the surrounding landscape, as the construction has been adapted to the existing topography and vegetation. The unit consists of two clearly separated zones: one for adults and another one for children and their mothers. The first one comprises: an olympic swimming pool; a restaurant with kitchen with a serving capacity of 300; men's dressing rooms; entrance; dispensary, one air-conditioned part for aquatic sports. The second zone contains: a small harbour that existed already; a children's pool and big lawns for games, a pool for non swimmers and the dressing rooms for ladies and children. The construction system is traditional with wooden panel walls and self supporting metal roofs. In this manner independent pavilions have been built according to their different functions. Access roads and a parking lot with a capacity for 300 cars complete the unit.
