In the modern industrial and commercial development, financial support is an indispensable need. The bank is thus an extremely important factor in this context and as far as possible it should reflect the new techniques and forms in its appearance. Frequently outdated installations have to be altered or renovated as in this case, where it was necessary to design a new cash department. The architects created a representative picture of an entire banking organisation. Consequently, they were of the opinion that the renovations should not be restricted only to the cash department, but they should also be extended to the remaining details, which would result in an entirely new picture of a bank. According to this concept about 70 renovations and new construction works were carried out with a great variety of design though still within the framework of the original project, which proved to be valid in every respect.
