Recovery of the verticality of a building

This article describes the highly specialized operations undertaken in order to restore the verticality of a 4-storey building, devoted to flats, whose foundations had suffered a severe settlement; after having previously stopped the settlement process. The pillars were lifted with jacks. The paper also describes the operations applied to the walls the jacking and recuperating means, the control of the damaged structure, withdrawel of supports, etc.
