This building, situated in Egham, Surrey, has been designed and built bearing in mind its true nature, i.e. part of a large university complex in a continual state of development. For this reason it was necessary to think in terms of a structure and modulation which could be easily extended in the future without interrupting Its running too much. The unit consists of a series of blocks in step formation, which fits in perfectly with the landscape. There are offices, laboratories, research areas, etc., and at the end of these, separated from the rest, are two auditoriums or lecture theatres.
