This laboratory has been designed seeking as far as possible a variation from the known repertory of classical and functional patterns. The laboratory has the following significant features. It is a clear exponent of how the scientific work carried out in its interior finds a plastic expression in the external enveloping forms, which constitute the building. It is an attempt to offer the viewer something more than immediate and furious utilitarianism. It shows that even today it is possible to dream and design truly organic, living laboratories, which enable to proceed with evolution both around the building and in the building itself.
