Economic consideration and the acutely sloped site were the factors that led to the particular design of the terrace houses. Their styling, armong other advantages, avoids largely that neighbours can overlook each other, thus helping to create an atmosphere of privacy. There is also considerable damping of outside sounds and walking noises. The built area per house is 190 m2, and the terrace area is about 90 m2 of which 35 m2 can be used. There is, also a 90 m2 garden zone, of which 35 m2 can also be utilized. The vegetation added to the general design is not meant to hide the architectural forms, but should be regarded as part of the architecture.
