Abstract

The station has a basement and four storeys. The basement houses the general services of the plant. The ground floor has a foyer, two indoor courts with miniature gardens, cloakrooms, washrooms, etc. The second floor contains the large performance hall, with orchestra platform, changing rooms, and ancillaries. The two top floors provide room for sound transmission, scene controls, and other fittings. The general arrangement is highly functional, and the acoustics of the hall have been most carefully studied. The materials and qualities were chosen with much taste.
