El edificio se ha construido con fines administrativos, con objeto de agrupar las oficinas y zonas de recepción, de la fábrica de máquinas de coser "Elna". Mediante la distribución en planta y en sentido netamente longitudinal, a lo largo de la carretera Chatelaine y con retranqueo respecto de esta vía de gran tráfico y ruido, así como previendo un gran espacio verde entre esta pantalla constructiva de líneas modernas y la fábrica, situada al fondo .del solar, se ha conseguido aislar las oficinas de ambas zonas ruidosas.
