Hablando sobre el tema de realizaciones sociales, los esquemas o programas de conjuntos residenciales, en los cuales he estado ocupado, han ido creciendo hasta alcanzar cifras de presupuesto colosales: treinta y cinco millones de dólares, el Elysian Park Heights; veinticinco millones, Lemoore Navy Town; catorce millones. Mountain Homes, la base aérea de Idaho... Pero ¿qué es todo esto comparado con las ciudades completas que he visitado, o para cuyo estudio, proyecto o emplazamiento he sido consultado?... Chandigarh, en la India; Thema, puerto de la Costa de Oro; Meadowlands, la ciudad africana gemela de Johannesburgo; o Brasilia, orgullo del Presidente Kubitschek, casi a 2.000 km del Palacio de Río y en el interior del país. Sin embargo, yo prefiero citar esquemas de agrupaciones más modestas, pero de gran significado, puesto que no lo es todo el tamaño.
