The present work of research is an application of the numerical models more recently proposed for the analysis of masonry structures. The global objective of this paper is to study the behaviour of shear walls subject to in-plane loads. The calibration of numerical models has been made, for it small walls of brick tested to diagonal compression hove been used. The walls have been subject lo a numerical analysis using two different techniques (micro and macro-modelling) based on the Finite Elements Method that allow lo simulate the non-linear behaviour of the masonry.
