Resumen


Los análisis de equilibrio de estructuras abovedadas de fábrica y la modelización matemática de su comportamiento estructural han ganado prominencia en investigaciones sobre estructuras históricas y diseños digitalmente fabricados. Al volver a examinar el problema clásico de la determinación de estados de equilibrio límite, recientemente se han calculado los espesores mínimos necesarios para garantizar la estabilidad de las formas de arco más comunes. Sin embargo, el arco de tres centros o arco carpanel, predominante en la arquitectura renacentista en forma de óvalos clásicos, no se analiza estructuralmente con suficiente detalle. Por lo tanto, la presente investigación desarrolla el modelo analítico para tales arcos según la teoría de la línea de empuje. Los cálculos numéricos realizados, basados en el modo de colapso de cinco bisagras, proporcionan la correlación exacta entre la forma del arco y el espesor mínimo requerido, que se presenta gráficamente para más de treinta arcos.
