It is worth reviewing at the end of the century the debate between the hope for progress and the effort to make an architectural project in town, to shape spaces where the relationship between production and symbolism would be coherent with their purpose. Those expectations have kept alive through the whole century the hope for the fulfilment of the speculations and proposals originated in the 19th century. A time that ran through expectations and longings, burdened with as many innovations as catastrophes. The millenarian essence take us back and proposes to moderate the evolutive dynamics of our age in which the void is more eloquent than many a reference currently built.
