This building is designed on a square modulus of 1.524 m side, and it is 61 m long and 36.58 m wide On the ground floor there is a main hall, the Queen's Stores, the central files for documents and offices, and various heating and other services. On the first floor is the Long Room, surrounded by the Receiver's offices, and those of the other administrative staff. There are also kitchens, washing rooms, a self-service canteen with capacity for 50 people, and a hall. As it is close to the main airport runways, the building is protected by double glazing, and its provided with mechanical ventilation.
