Madera encolada. Estructuras laminares.

La laminación, tratándose de la madera, consiste en formar, partiendo de láminas o tabla delgada, elementos de mayor escuadra o dimensiones por la yuxtaposición de tablas encoladas unas contra otras. Las tablas se encolan entre sí y, a veces, se solidarizan por medios mecánicos de fijación. El hilo de la madera es paralelo, que contrasta con el contrachapado cuyas láminas finas cruzan su hilo en placas alternas.
