Cúpula Ehime – Matsuyama

El auditorio japonés Ehime, adaptable a funciones distintas, tiene una capacidad de 1.400 plazas sentadas. Consta de una gran sala principal de planta circular, de 50 m de diámetro, y una serie de servicios que, en conjunto, dan a la obra un marcado interés estructural y constructivo. La cancha y tribunas se han cubierto con cúpula esférica, de hormigón armado de espesor variable, apoyada simplemente sobre veinte soportes perimetrales, en cuyas cabezas superiores descansan los rodillos que permiten la deformación elástica de la cúpula.
