Study of the behaviour of sisal fiber reinforced hemihydrated gypsum as components in low cost housing

The present article is a brief description of the work done for the elaboration of the doctoral thesis and its conclusions. Starting from the possibilities of using plaster in developing countries, due to its abundance and low cost, a series of mechanical tests have been carried out in order to learn about the physical and mechanical properties of plaster reinforced with sisal fibres for its future use in components for low cost housing.
