The dutch attitude versus crack control

In the Netherlands, the long tradition which exists in building with original bricklaying masonries is still kept at present by seeking for improvements in the quality standards. In order to be able to guarantee the insurance policies in construction, a need has been created to develop the research which would allow to avoid induced cracks in masonries. This article explains the most common causes of masonry cracking and the way to control it through the adecuate layout of the reinforcements.
