Some aerodynamic effects and the tunnels on the Madrid-Sevilla route of the high speed train

It is likely that f the reader has sensitive ears and has travelled on one of the numerous trains in Spain which pass through tunnels; he may have experienced the sensation of his ears plugging up. This sensation, although lasting very briefly, scarcely two or three seconds, can be somewhat irritating. As speed increases, this sensation becomes downright disagreeabe for some travelers. This article discusses this and other questions related to high speed trains and their effects in tunnels, as well as the measures which can be taken to reduce or eradicate them.
