Water is a scare resource and for this reason it is necessary to use it wisely. This paper puts forward some techniques and strategies which have been developed in different countries, to minimize wasteful water consumption for domestic use. The reason for this is to avoid considerable public expense which is caused by the purifying of unneccessarily polluted water and by equipment and pipes which are too large for their purpose. Also this paper deals with the state of art on techniques saving money on sanitation and treatment of sewage.
