The following considerations are devoted to the study of buried pipes and tanks fracture by uplift. After the description of the fracture process and its circumstances, it is proposed a simple and efficient solution to avoid the problem. We want to thank the Construction and Preservation Engineers of the Hydrographic Confederations for their collaboration and for bestowing their experience that have enabled us to know the problem we describe.
