Abstract

In this article we try to give warning to designers of reinforced concrete structures who use computer programs based in lineal methods, of the little trustfulness of the results they obtain when they evaluate the deformations of the beams of the frames. Among the causes that have an influence in such an error appears the impossibility to determine "a priori" the quantity of the inertia of the cracked section, since the cracking depends on the bending which is initially unknown. The problem is more important in the case of plane beams.
