Abstract


The Sainz de Baranda-Pavones stretch runs from Doctor Esquerdo street towards the East of Madrid, passing under the Av. de la Paz and entering the Moratalaz district, crossing it completely. Apart from the execution itself, of a 4 km line, the work represents: - five stations - two transformer substations - sixteen ventilation shafts The circular tunnel construction was made using a special piece of equipment basically made up of: - a Robbins-281-S digger shield; - an earth extraction system and parts for ming the lining; - an installation of prefabricated reinforced concrete voussoirs, to execute the lining.
