The Danish Embassy building in London is arranged in two bodies, one having six stories and the other, two stories, respectively, with a total area of 6,340 m2 under roof. The first body houses the main chancellery functions and the Ambassador's Residence, while the two-story body - separated from the first by an inner courtyard — contains four duplex fiats for Embassy staff, having independent access from the outside. The façade shaping and materials were designed so as to maintain the new building in keeping and harmony with the surrounding buildings, all typical examples of classical London architecture. This work, considered as one of the best Jacobsen's designs, was completed after hls death by his successors, Messrs Dissing and Weitiing.
