Bilbao-Behobia Motorway - Spain

The construction of the Oyarzun-Behovia stretch of the Bilbao-Behovia motorway has meant the completion of this important means of communication in the Basque Country. Earth moving work has been of the order of 25 million cubic meters. The project includes 7 overpasses, 16 underpasses and three bridges. The structures have been built using poststresser light-weight slabs, reinforced caissons and poststressed girders with «reinforced earth work» abutments.
