It concerns several examples of calculation using the breakage theory included in Instruction EH-73. In the 1st. example, a constant rectangular cross-section bar is studied with an even load perpendicular to its axis, i.e. with sections in simple bending situation; three particular cases are analyzed among those possible in this example. In the 2nd example, the case is considered of a porch comprising a lintel and two columns, so that in the calculation of the cross-sections, axial loads intervene, i.e. so that the sections of the bars are in a compound bending situation; the outer loads of this structure, whose general calculation is performed through the standard formulae on this subject, produce actions in the sections of its bars in which bending predominates. Finally, in the 3rd example, the same porch intervenes as in the previous one, but with some outer loads chosen so that in some of the bars axial actions predominate, i.e., so there are sections in a compound compression situation. In this way, it is endeavoured to give concrete and almost general Information on the application of the aforementioned theory to the calculation of constant rectangular cross-section bars.
