Bus stations

This article deals, by way of introduction, with the different aspects of: general concepts, legislation, programmes of requirements, suitable locations, installations, profitability, etc. It then gives a description in a more individualized way, of the bus stations of Salamanca, Valladolid and Avila. In these cases, the influence of the land is studied, the growth of transport in the respective town, and the characteristics of the surroundings, among other conditioning factors, always setting forth the policy of the Ministry of Public Works, tending to avoid the buses passing through the town itself and in all events, encouraging the creation of capacious stations in a large number of provincial capitals.
