Abstract

The basic characteristic of this medical centre, which to a certain extent is exactly the opposite of traditional health centers, is that a most appropriate environment has been crated, for private or family doctors. It comprises a great number of consultation rooms —as many as there are doctors— as well as departments and premises for common use for the doctors and patients. According to the needs, the space has been distributed in the following manner: 17 Consulting rooms, waiting rooms, reception, administrative offices, rooms for treatment and general storage rooms. AU these different parts are connected by a minimum of corridors. The various sections have been arranged as to their light requirements: in the centre the reception; from the reception, in the form of rays, the waiting rooms have been placed, and in the periphery, the Consulting rooms. Behind the reception are the offices and the treatment rooms. The division is done by means of mobile partition walls. Other important characteristics of the building is: the external location in the ceiling of all technical installations; decorations and different colours in all the construction elements, so as to distinguish the various medical specialties and to achieve a more pleasant environment.
