In line with its function the building is of considerable elegance. It is situated in the street of Castelló, n.° 71, in the capital. It consists of three basements, ground floor, and six floors above ground level. Three fundamental ideas have served as a basis for designing the project: to construct the greatest possible part of the building below so as to leave much space free on the ground level for the garden; to put back the facade of this floor to give importance and emphasis to the upper part; external and internal simplicity and elegance, both as to form as well as to materials and colours. All this has been achieved thanks to the sculptures by Chillida and Serrano and the murals by Molezún and Vaquero Turcios, for which the architect reserved the most appropriate place from the beginning.
