Abstract

This article describes the advantages and innovations that the modulated prefabrication represents in the modern construction, and demonstrates at the same time that a well conceived and well planned industrialization does in no way limit the creative freedom of the architect. However, to a considerable extent it reduces the costs. In particular, it points out with emphasis the Variel system of modules by elements, presenting their diverse and complete structural details as well as some works that give ample evidence of the perfection of the finishing and the wide range of all types of constructions that can be carried out by means of the above mentioned system.
