Abstract


Fundamental requirements: capacity for a working staff of 150 persons, central services (dining room, conference rooms, library, the porter's living quarters, garage) and possibility of enlargement of the ground floor, in addition to trying to adapt the building in a suitable and homogeneous manner to the environment, which consists of low houses sourrounded by gardens. The building consists of 6 floors above ground level, which contain: the halls, reception, archive, conference and exhibition rooms, management, library and airconditioning and central heating installations on the top floor. The basement comprises; garage, storehouses, archives, bar, etc. Modulated construction with isolated ceilings and windows with double glass panes. It has been tried to preserve as many of the trees as possible.
