It is a very characteristic and adequate building for the highly commercial site that it occupies: Rambla de Cataluña, in the new part of Barcelona. Due to its contiguity to the church San Raimundo de Peñafort only three floors occupy the entire site. The remaining twelve rise in a slender and diaphanous tower with curtain walls in strong contrast to the two floors immediately below which are particularly solid due to the concrete sculptured strips made by Subirachs.
