The integration of the prevention through design. Role of the designer in Spain and the countries within “Europe’s 15”

In this study it has been tried jointly analyze all the factors could influence in the methodological development in the role of the designer in Spain and their association with safety management in the design phase, also taking into account the health and safety legal framework in the EU-15, carrying out two kind of analysis: qualitative and quantitative. In first one it has been analyzed the situation in several scopes: training, statistical, legal, and jurisprudence, as well as to analyze the different legal transpositions within the countries that forming “Europe’s 15”. In the second one, has been analyzed the methodology of the Spanish designers in building construction in Spain. The results obtained –in the same scopes that the realized analyses– will allow us to continue advancing in the implementation of the prevention in design stage.
