Abstract

This article describes the works carried out by the firm Mayreder Kraus & Co. to construct the bridge in question across the gorge of the same name. It consists of 30 m straight side spans and one 120 m central span accomplished by means of the system of successive corbels uniting 6 m members with the aid of a cable way. The 18.80 m wide deck rests upon two twin arches of prestressed concrete with the help of five pairs of vertical pillars of reinforced concrete.
