Abstract

Located in the Restauradores Square, it is the first to be built in the Portuguese capital. It has two floors, with 6,300 m2 per floor and holds 436 cars. Construction was completed in nine months, endeavouring not to interfer with the Metropolitan tunnels, nor with the foundations of the monument of «La Restauración », allowing, however, the flow of traffic on the surface, as it is a very central part, with a great deal of traffic. It is of reinforced concrete with foundations of slabs of the same material, strongly reinforced, 60 cm in thickness. It has all modern advances concerning ventilation, fire protection, signalling, etc.
