The Backwater Reservoir - Scotland (United Kingdom)

The Backwater Valley is the confluence of a mountainous areas known as Grampians Highlands. The article describes the soil tests, problem which had to be solved, and construction of a 550 m long and 3 m high land dam, by pass tunnel, valve tower, tube docts, control and instrument rooms and ancillary works.
