The basic idea behind this undertaking can be infered from the operations program which consists of three sections: administration, investigation and fabrication. The Center consists of four equal buildings, with three storeys and basement in each, where the laboratories and additional installations are located. These buildings are connected to each other by covered passages and the vertical communication nuclei situated at their ends, forming a square surrounding a central building of a single floor, designed for a meeting zone, and made up of: library with reading room: information and documentation room; classroom; management, and production rooms. Circling this central zone on the outside were located the production premises and the animal pens, with a comb shaped floor plan, in a single-storey building with basement, which has a longitudinal wing housing the care and therapy installations. The Center is completed with a self-service restaurant; a cafeteria and dining room, located outside the work area, on account of their nature as a meeting place. Prefabricated concrete pieces have been used in carrying out the body of the buildings and concrete in situ in the construction of the basements.
