Sports Stadium in Philadelphia (U.S.A.)

This original stadium, including its shape, required the condition of being able to adapt 15,000 additional seats for football, which had to be hidden during the baseball games, such circumstance being taken advantage of for other purposes. When making the project for the roof, three alternatives were studied thoroughly: — Fixed roof; — Roof with a transportable inside section; — Roof with a sliding inside section. It has good communications, accesses and all kinds of installations, both for players and spectators as well as for specialized personnel: press, TV, etc. its structure is mixed, with reinforced concrete from the foundations to the third floor, and from this point to the roof, in steel. This was the most economical of the solutions studied.
