The road as an inherent component of the landscape. A tool to approach the landscape to the viewer

As the roads use increases, the relevance of the relationship between landscape and road is promoted because it contributes to the citizen approach to nature and to the necessary sensitisation about the environment.
This paper summarizes a project with the aim of study the landscape values of the roads. This study could be done taking into account two aspects: the road as a landscape element and the road as a tool to approach the landscape to the viewer; the analysis of linear infrastructures is done from the consideration of the road as an inherent component of the landscape and from the consideration of its integration in the environment.
