Environmental implications of the execution of the Environmental Assessment of project of the construction of a Highway on Middle North Spain

Environmental Impact Assessment plays an important role on checking possible effects of several projects. This procedure ensures that the environmental implications of decisions are taken into account before the decisions are made. Prevention is used to further define mitigation measures that must be improved. So far and being part of the global procedure, vigilance and monitoring programs should be analyzed like one of the most important parts of the Environmental Impact Assessment. Since one of the specially relevant objectives of vigilance and monitoring is to check and audit mitigation measures effectiveness, it is high recommended to analyze the results of the application of those mitigation measures. In that way it is introduced this article where we analyze the vigilance and monitoring programs results from the Construction of a Highway on Middle North Spain.
