Necessity of Thermal Insulation in Current Building

The author attempts to clear up a few ideas on this subject, as not everyone knows enough about its correct use: what is meant by thermal insulation and thermal conductivity, essential requirements with respect to material, lightweight and heavy insulation, justification of insulation for reasons of building evolution, comfort, economy and to avoid condensation, as well as the influence of openings in outside walls.
