This building has been designed and built in accord with the latest school building practice as applied to mentally backward children. The project includes ten buildings, and provides facilities for all aspects of the special training courses, covering ages from four to adult age, and both sexes. There are primary school buildings, professional training centres, experimental work sections, workshops, library, gymnasium, living quarters for students and teaching staff, dining halls, kitchens, public rooms, administrative offices, chapel, club, swimming pool and other sports and general facilities. The main constructional medium is unfaced concrete, and the total design has a powerful, dynamic style coveying a clear Impression of vigour and energy.
