The main factors that tend to differentiate this intercontinental airport are the following. An extensive network of parking facilities near the flying stations. Maximum proximity of the airliners to the waiting passengers. An underground railway to transport passengers and luggage outside the runway area. Each of the two terminal buildings has exits in six different directions. It enjoys ample communications with the approach and motor roads leading into Houston. The possibility of further enlarging the airport at a later time without excessive cost. This ultramodern airport is designed to handle all types of intercontinental airliners and supersonic aircraft, and provides maximum comfort to passengers.
