Bridge over the Severn, Gt. Britain

The bridge described in this article has solved the increasing traffic problem in the South West of Wales. The total project involves the suspension bridge itself, a second bridge over the river Wye, and a 10 span metal viaduct, which joins both bridges, and runs over the Beachley peninsula. The suspension bridge is outstanding because of its main towers and the compact construction of the main deck, as well as for the oblique positioning of the secondary cables.
