This civic centre has a reinforced concrete structure and provides room for 53 shops, some of them facing the streets, and the others opening onto an internal square. The central block has two supermarkets and a large general store, as well as a car park occup5dng several floor levels. The highest part of the parking tower has a restaurant, from which visitors can enjoy an excellent view of the Tyne estuary.
